Hello! If we haven’t met, my name is Rebeka Heath (but everyone calls me Beka), and I am one of the Family Liaisons for our wonderful charter.

This year marks my 12th year homeschooling and my 8th with Lake View. My (not) baby is starting TK this year- my 7th TK year! You might assume I have it all figured out, but I assure you, I do not! Every year is a little different, and every year is an exercise in keeping what works and replacing what doesn’t.

I’d love for you to take this final TK journey with me this year- I’ll share about my highs and lows, what lessons I’ve learned along the way, and what new things I’m excited to try. I promise to be vulnerable, honest, and hopefully a little funny. Whether we’re talking about using stickers to teach numbers, how to get stickers out of hair, or why you, as a learning coach, deserve a sticker, my goal is to leave you encouraged and inspired. I promise you’ll know you’re not alone—whether it’s the over-the-top excitement of them sounding out their first word or the extreme frustration of repeating yourself for the 50th time.
